Yan-Sian Liao, the renowned designer behind this residential house, has created a truly unique and captivating space. One of the standout features of this design is the open-plan small piano room cleverly tucked away in the hallway. This innovative layout not only maintains the openness of the space but also maximizes its efficiency. The piano room is adorned with a dark wood-vein bevel-board bookshelf and a low veneered dividing wall, exuding a subdued English aristocratic vibe. The space is further enhanced by a unique chandelier and a leather piano chair, creating an atmosphere of refined elegance.
The hallway itself is a work of art, with a vaulted curved ceiling that adds a sense of spaciousness and depth. Light-blue grilles adorn the walls, creating a serene and elegant ambiance that extends to the wall behind the sofa and the dining room. The use of light-tone wood-vein storage cabinets throughout the space adds a touch of consistency and serves to trim the corner cranny next to the dining room.
The living room and dining room seamlessly blend together, sharing an integrated, undefined floor. The striking visual contrast between the two-tone stone materials of the TV wall and the dining table adds visual interest and depth. Dark wood-vein trims encircle the ceiling, further enhancing the visual layers of the space.
This exceptional design project was completed in January 2022 in Taichung City, Taiwan. Yan-Sian Liao's meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful use of materials have created a harmonious living space that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding lushness. The inspiration drawn from nature and the incorporation of English elements have resulted in a home that perfectly embodies the homeowner's desires.
